When nature awakens to new life in spring, it is green and blooming everywhere in the Sauerland. So many colors, so many scents await you everywhere in the region. There are beautiful parks and gardens to discover all over the country. Spacious areas with flower-lined footpaths, dreamy courtyard and castle gardens, as well as attractive and modern spa parks, adventure and exercise areas. Here you can not only admire the splendour of the flowers, meadows and trees, but also find something for all the senses: secluded retreats to relax in, invigorating ideas for gentle exercise or even playgrounds - and nearby cosy cafés or restaurants with lots of tasty treats. The people of the Sauerland also like to create lush private gardens - and several times a year, on selected dates, some open their gates to present their blooming treasures to you.
