Sauerland nature

Bright green in all its facets, vast meadows, dense forests, clear lakes and bubbling streams - the Sauerland, "Germany's inspiring outdoor region", scores points above all with its nature and diverse flora and fauna. Breathtaking nature reserves and numerous cultural and industrial monuments characterize the region. So it's no wonder that the region is home to three nature parks and a geopark. With their work, they make an important contribution to nature conservation and environmental education and thus promote sustainable regional development.
