Located between the town center and the train station, directly opposite the town hall, Volkspark Meinerzhagen is a quiet retreat in an urban setting. Numerous small, interconnected paths run through the park and lead past well-tended green areas and a stream with a small body of water, which creates a pleasant atmosphere, especially on sunny days.
Many benches along the paths invite you to relax. The park offers several play options for children: a small playground in the upper area and the popular tree house playground in the lower part of the park provide a variety of fun. The offer is complemented by a new multi-generational play area, which has a large climbing and play element as well as outdoor fitness equipment for young people and adults.
At the center of the park is the lovingly restored Villa im Park, which is now once again considered an architectural gem and is regularly used for cultural events. The Volkspark thus combines nature, leisure and culture in a special way.
