Built in 1854, the moated castle was built over the bed of the Valme stream. It served the highly industrialized Ramsbeck as a machine workshop for the iron foundry. Machine parts were stored and assembled there. The construction offices were located on the upper floors.
Directions
The information board is located on the mining trail. Take the R72 from Bestwig Bahnhos to the "Ziegelwiese" exit. From there it is a 1-minute walk to the mining trail.
