Padberg’s village square is a gathering place where tourists and residents alike enjoy spending time. Starting from the village square in Padberg, visitors can explore Padberg’s historic Altstadt with its sights and historic buildings. During a walking tour, visitors learn about the town’s history and culture, as well as Padberg’s significance in the region.
Events such as the Christmas market, small markets, historical events organized by the Förderverein Ring Padberg e.V., and activities hosted by local clubs take place there. The Rittertafel, serving as a gathering place, can be dismantled or reconfigured depending on its intended use. Covered seating areas are available in the area around the fountain. The redesigned square reflects the fountain’s “ring” motif (mill wheels) in multiple variations and circles, loosely arranged in various sizes. The pump stone, the wayside shrine, and the rubble-stone walls surrounding the square all point to Padberg’s rich historical past.
