Protected by the mighty towers of the Gothic hall churches of St. Kilian and St. Nikolai, there is plenty to experience in Korbach's Altstadt. Medieval fortifications with a double ring of town walls, stone warehouses, half-timbered houses and the town hall with its Roland statue bear witness to the tradition, power and wealth of Hessen's only Hanseatic town.
