It was built in 1901 on a plot of land that had been donated. At the dedication ceremony, Empress Auguste Viktoria donated an altar Bible to the church, which still rests on the altar today.
The wood-paneled ceiling inside the church is particularly beautiful. The chancel also impresses with its altar windows, whose motifs are modeled after those of the Emmauskirche.
