In yin yoga, the individual positions are held for longer than in hatha yoga. Yin stands for feminine, soft and passive energy. This leads to calmness and is particularly suitable for stressed people. The fascia/connective tissue recovers and relaxes. Yin yoga is a way of getting back in touch with yourself and becoming more aware of your own body.
