Paneer is unsalted Indian cheese that is served in a warm sauce and provides vegetarians in India with important protein. It is similar to our cottage cheese, from which the liquid has been pressed out. They make their own paneer and cook a spicy sauce with it (palak paneer). The result is a balanced Indian meal that always consists of rice, flatbread and a vegetable and yoghurt dish. It is accompanied by Indian spiced tea and a dessert.
