Finally, it's back to trail running on one of the most challenging and beautiful routes in the Sauerland. After a solo run last year, on Sunday, June 12, numerous runners will once again take to the half-marathon, 10-kilometer and 5-kilometer courses together. Registrations for the event are still possible online at www.hoehenflug-trailrun.de until June 7.
Volksbank Sauerland takes over starting fees for pupils
The cross-country race for schoolchildren covers an exciting cross-country course of just under one kilometer for the younger schoolchildren and 1.7 kilometers for the older schoolchildren. Start and finish for all runners is the Mega-Sports-Center in Sundern-Hagen. The students will receive certificates and medals. And the best: All students start free of charge. Because the Volksbank Sauerland takes over the starting fees for the young runners.
Chip timing in the start number & high-quality wooden trophies
The timing is done with a chip directly in the start number. This means that the runners do not have to attach a chip separately. Simply attach your bib to the front of your shirt, run, have fun, and win a certificate and high-quality wooden trophies for first-place finishers. For the first time, runners can also support the "Waldlokal" campaign. With a small contribution, trees will be planted in the city area.
Sauerland-Höhenflug-Trailun is presented by Naust Hunecke
That after 2 years with major restrictions, sport is possible again without specifications, makes the trail run special. "We are looking forward to the new edition and that finally together sport is possible again. Because sport has a great social significance and we are therefore happy to support the Sauerland-Höhenflug-Trailrun," reports Dominic Biegansky of Naust Hunecke. Peter Nolte from the organization team adds: "The anticipation is huge. We would like to thank the many sponsors and Sauerland Tourism for their support, which makes the trail run possible in the first place."
New finisher shirts and starter bag with many added values
All participants can look forward to new finisher shirts (see group photo attached) and thanks to the partners there is a starter bag with a small gift for all starters. In addition, there will be an athlete-friendly supply on the course and refreshing Veltins Alkoholfrei 0.0% as well as small snacks to strengthen at the finish. The popular fresh pasta and various cakes provide further energy.
Evaluation run for the Volksbank Sauerland Lauf Cup
The Sauerland-Höhenflug-Trailrun counts again with the following runs for the Volksbank Sauerland Lauf Cup: 10 km (adults), 5 km (youth) and 1,7 resp. 1 km (pupils). All runners who start on these distances are automatically rated for the Lauf Cup.
