Under the motto "Sauerland meets Columbia," the first outdoor event for influencers and bloggers took place in the Sauerland region. For three days, the twelve participants went on a discovery tour through the region. Always with them: camera, smartphone and an eye for the next impressive motif for their own social media channel. The program included a tour to the Bruchhauser Steine, stand-up paddling yoga on Lake Hennesee and a ranger hike through the local nature.

"More and more young people are finding inspiration for vacation trips and day trips on channels such as Instagram or Pinterest," says Julia Fust, co-organizer and responsible for marketing at Sauerland Tourism. "The joint event with Columbia is intended to bring together German influencers from the outdoor industry who stage the Sauerland on their channels for their thousands of followers with unique motifs." And for this purpose, the program was peppered with several highlights.

On the first day, after arriving at the KNAUS Camping Park Hennesee, the participants went directly on a discovery tour around Willingen along the hiking tour "Blick-ins-Land Kahle Pöhn" with its striking heath areas and fantastic views - a real highlight with recognition value. Afterwards the participants could end the evening with a BBQ at the campfire.

Because already at half past three the alarm clock rang again, in order to be in time for the sunrise at the Bruchhauser Steine. After the photos were taken, the influencers went on a guided tour of the roastery at the QUADRO Café in Brilon, followed by a ranger hike, before a barbecue at Xaver's ranch in Vellinghausen rounded off the day.

The last day started on a sporty note with a hike to Berghauser Bucht and a session of stand-up paddling yoga on Lake Hennesee. After a picnic with a view of the crystal-clear water in the midst of the Sauerland landscape, the participants headed back home. In their luggage: many breathtaking impressions of the Sauerland and fascinating motifs from "Germany's most inspiring outdoor region".
