Green statement at lofty heights
Sauerland tourism and Ettelsberg cable car focus on visual marketing
Anyone who takes the Ettelsberg cable car in Willingen up to the Upland community's local mountain these days will immediately notice a new eye-catcher: one of the modern 8-seater gondolas has been branded in fresh, green Sauerland style - a real eye-catcher for guests and locals alike. The eye-catching design is the result of a successful collaboration between Sauerland Tourism and the Ettelsberg cable car.
"With the branded gondola, we want to make the Sauerland even more visible and create a positive brand experience directly on site," explains Julia Göddeke from Sauerland Tourism. "The modern look reflects our region - close to nature, active and hospitable. At the same time, the branding shows how diverse and lively tourism marketing is in the Sauerland."
Jörg Wilke, Managing Director of the Ettelsberg cable car, also considers the project a complete success: "The collaboration with Sauerland Tourism was constructive and focused from the very beginning. It's great to see how a joint idea has turned into a strong visual impulse. The gondola is a real eye-catcher and shows how strong tourism partners can be together - both in the valley and on the mountain."
The branding is part of an overarching visual marketing strategy for Sauerland tourism: eye-catching designs in prominent locations are intended to strengthen the brand's recognizability and convey the Sauerland lifestyle emotionally. At the same time, the measure serves as a strong symbol of how innovatively and cooperatively tourism stakeholders in the region work together.
The branded gondola will be on the popular route between the valley station and Ettelsberg in the coming months - always with the aim of not only transporting guests in comfort, but also making a lasting impression. Photos and impressions of it are already spreading on social networks, making an additional contribution to the region's supra-regional visibility.
