Information event on the "TourCert" certification process in Sauerland and Siegen-Wittgenstein

Sauerland-Tourismus e.V. and Touristikverband Siegen-Wittgenstein e.V. are currently undergoing an extensive certification process to become a "Sustainable Destination" and are aiming to be awarded the renowned "TourCert" seal. In order to make this process a success, the two regions need support in the area and are therefore looking for interested partner businesses.

Guests come to the Sauerland and Siegen-Wittgenstein because of the charming landscapes, nature experiences, cultural traditions, local products and other regional specialties. All of these must be preserved in order to remain attractive. This contributes to the sustainability of the regions - and ultimately it is the offers in the establishments that make this sustainability tangible for guests. After all, accommodation establishments, excursion destinations and gastronomic offerings form the heart of the tourist regions.

Sauerland Tourism and the Siegen-Wittgenstein Tourism Association are inviting interested businesses to a non-binding and free information event for the joint further development of the "Sustainable Destination". This will take place online via Zoom on Monday, September 25, between 5 and 7 pm. The event will also explain how local hosts can become a partner business of the "Sustainable Destination".

The Sauerland Tourism Sustainability Officer, Anna Galon, is happy to accept registrations by email: anna.galon@sauerland.com. If you have any further questions, please contact her on 02974-969850.
