The church was first mentioned as a parish church in 1250. With its famous Randebrock organ, which was completely restored in 1998 and is unique in the world, it forms the center of the village. The foundation of Heddinghausen goes back to the year 782, Charlemagne had a chapel built here for his army. The foundations of the chapel still exist.
