Important regulations at Sorpesee
We do not take any responsibility for the correctness of this information. In case of doubt the current fishing license is valid!!Attention: at the RV dams in the Sauerland the red flag is obligatory for all anglers trolling from the fishing boat!!Fishing limits:each max. 2 trout, 2 pikeperch, 3 pike, 3 Arctic char, 10 whitefish, 2 carpGear:2 fishing rods + 1 sinkFishing time:1h before sunrise to 1h after sunset. From 1.6 - 30.9 night fishing is allowed from the shore, but not on the road side of the forebay!Boat fishing:Boats may be operated without a badge only by muscle power. From 15.2. to 15.6. boat fishing is prohibited on the forebay.Fishing distance:With a few exceptions (e.g. area of the dam structures, see map for details), the entire stretch of shore is fishable.
Attention: from 16.6. to 30.9. fishing is restricted close behind the forebay between 11.00 and 17.00. From 1.4. to 14.11. fishing is not allowed at the summer diving site!Spawning sanctuaries:From 1.11. to 15.6. fishing is not allowed in the areas of the Sorpe marked as spawning sanctuaries.Prohibitions:Ice fishing, live bait fish, making fire and wild camping are prohibited at Sorpesee! No tents or umbrella tents may be used on the road side of the forebay.
