Surrounded by tall fir trees, on the ridge of the Rothaar ridge, at a crossroads stands a nearly four-meter-high steel sculpture weighing almost 64 tons: a group of gates and closure plates, burned out of a common whole and opening in different directions, form the artwork "Kein leichtes Spiel" (No Easy Game) by Ansgar Nierhoff. Like several other works on the WaldSkulpturenWeg, this sculpture addresses the conflict between regions that have been separated from each other territorially, linguistically, culturally and denominationally for centuries. A conflict that goes back to the epoch of the late Middle Ages as well as the Reformation. The quiet place allows hikers to participate in the commonality of the formerly divided regions and the overcoming of borders.
