Not far from the B229 between Halver (Sauerland) and Radevormwald (Bergisches Land) and thus also easy to reach by car, lies the Schwenke lookout and village square.
Next to the sports facility there is a great panorama point with possibilities to stay, which offers an impressive panoramic view of the region and Südwestfalen. The view extends over Lüdenscheid, Halver and the Nordhelle to the Unnenberg tower in the Bergisches Land. A panorama board informs about the surrounding area and the views.
In addition to the lookout point, the Scheuerpfahl Der in die Ferne schaut, an art installation by the local art association Vakt e.V., is located here on the grounds.
A boules court also invites you to linger or play here.
Not far from the vantage point also runs the themed hiking and walking trail VolmeSchatz Panorama - Märkische Fernsichten, with the aforementioned vantage point as a highlight, as well as other local circular hiking trails. The Bergische Panoramasteig can also be reached from here.
