Spring is the most beautiful season in the Bad Sassendorf Rhododendron Park. The first species bloom as early as April and gradually unfold their full splendor. The special charm of this unique part of the spa park is created by the tree population, the interplay between light and shade and the contrast between the bold colored flowers and the bright green of the ferns. The six-hectare rhododendron park was established in 1987 and is home to about 40 rhododendron varieties. One particular cultivar even bears the name "Bad Sassendorf".
