If you happen to be cycling along the RuhrtalRadweg, you will pass the former railroad depot. The monument of the railroad water crane reminds of the importance of the station in Bestwig for the RuhrtalBahn at that time in the 60s. In the 1870 to 1873 the village with the then only seven residential houses received a railroad station. Until 1960, this station was of great importance, especially during the steam locomotive era. At this important monument you can get infomatic knowledge about the information board next door.
