The church of St. Lambertus, which is well worth seeing, is located in the immediate vicinity of the town hall. It was first mentioned in a document in 1079. Above the church portal there is a tympanum, which shows the first nativity scene in the Westphalian region. The church is a two-bay basilica with a west tower. The foundation of the church is said to date back to the Carolingian period, around 1900 the church was extended by a neo-Gothic part.
