Berghaus village bakery, organic store and farm in Meinerzhagen-Valbert
The Berghaus village bakery in Meinerzhagen-Valbert produces baked goods such as bread and rolls from easily digestible Viva-Natur flour. Various types of cakes complete the assortment.
In the organic store you can buy products according to current organic guidelines.
Some of them come from the farm's own organic Saalberghof.

The organic Saalberghof was awarded in 2008 at the competition "Agriculture creates cultural landscape".
All our animals live according to organic standards. The Bio-Saalberghof is a certified organic farm and carries the organic seal.
Our cattle are fed with - home grown organic hay and organic haylage, organic cereals, organic potatoes.
Cows and beef cattle are on summer pasture from May to November. Since November 2014 the farm is a member of the organic circle.
At the Ihnestraße farm, all animals are kept in a species-appropriate manner:
Pigs and chickens run on straw and have plenty of room to move around.
Ducks and geese are kept in free-range conditions with plenty of run and pasture, and there is a swimming pond for the ducks.
They are fed with home-grown organic cereals, organic potatoes, soy and pea meal, and leftover bread from the bakery.
However, because the Viva natural flour is not organic, our pigs, chickens, ducks and geese are not organic either!
All animals grow slowly and provide excellent quality meat.
