Always on the second Sunday in August, the popular bicycle day for the whole family takes place in Lippetal from 10 am to 6 pm. Organizer is the municipality of Lippetal in cooperation with Lippetal clubs. The entire route is - like a marathon - 42 km long and is specially signposted for this day, the uniform direction of travel is on the right. In almost all Lippetal villages there are stations that invite you to stop and give out stamp (cards) for the subsequent prize draw.
Large and free parking lots can be found near the stations in Lippborg, Herzfeld, Hovestadt, Oestinghausen and Hultrop. In addition, the RLG operates a bicycle bus from the direction of Warstein and Neheim via Möhnesee and Soest. It is possible to get on and off the bus on two wheels at any station, as there is no uniform starting or finishing point.
Lippetal has everything to offer except mountains. Without much effort, the route can easily be mastered even without gears or even a mountain bike. Cycling through the flat, numerous green areas offers recreation seekers in Lippetal a lot of relaxation. The extensive network of farm roads is an ideal spot away from the major traffic arteries. Discover old Wasserschlösser, churches and chapels, mills and nature reserves on the circular tour.
