A magnificent view of the village, valleys and heights of the Diemelsee Nature Park and the Sauerland mountains compensates for the effort of the climb.
The cross with the inscription: "In hoc signo 313 - 1913" commemorates after 1600 years the Roman Emperor Constantine. The cross with the inscription: "In hoc signo 313 - 1913" reminds after 1600 years of the Roman emperor Constantine, who raised Christianity as a state religion in 313.
On the suggestion of the vicar Habighorst, active help of the villagers and financial support of the associations this cross was erected in 1913.
It is still today the landmark of the village. Thus, for almost 90 years, on the 1st Sunday in October, the procession goes up here. This sign of Christianity enriches a beautiful piece of Germany, our Sauerland homeland.
