Situated on the edge of the Herscheid town center is the large (hiking) parking lot at the Herscheid Community Hall. The numerous car parking spaces offer hikers an ideal starting point. A hiking trail sign points hikers in the direction of the correct hiking trail.

From here, you can also reach the Herscheid circular trail via an access road; a worthwhile hiking trail with a length of approx. 30 km around Herscheid.
