After its closure, the route of a branch line became part of the supra-regional cycle path network with the highlight of the listed and at the same time longest cycle path tunnel in NRW. Likewise, committed residents of Hützemert campaigned to preserve the last station building located on Drolshagen's municipal territory and to convert it into a meeting place for village purposes and events.

The result is a monument with intensive and cultural use. This guided tour can be booked with a historical focus on the branch line Dieringhausen - Olpe as well as with the exciting story about the preservation, the planning, the redesign of the meeting place "Alter Bahnhof" Hützemert. Both topics unite the efforts of the respective actors to actively shape their environment. Enjoy and experience a living monument with a view also "behind the tunnel".
