The fish-bellied arch bridge over the Lenne River in Plettenberg was built in 1914 as part of the railroad connection from Plettenberg to Herscheid, which was closed in 1969. The bridge has been a listed building since June 2000. In late summer 2015, an accessible viewing platform was opened on a segment of the bridge. From there you have a magnificent view of the Lenne Valley.

The fish-bellied arch bridge was entered in the monument list of the town of Plettenberg on June 15, 2000 together with the Kersmecke viaduct, which still existed at that time.
The steel truss railroad bridge over the Lenne was built in 1914 and is no longer in operation today. The structure copes with a change in direction of 180 degrees when crossing the Lenne.
This results in the arch-shaped ground plan with a radius of 300 meters. As part of the "REGIONALE 2013", the Lenne Rail project received over 4 million euros in funding.
The valorization of the fish-bellied arch girder bridge received a grant of 574,928 euros here. In late summer 2015, the accessible viewing platform on a segment of the bridge was opened.
