The farm of the Bühner family, located in beautiful Herscheid, is open to everyone throughout the week and invites you to independently view a large part of the farm.
As an individual, family, club, kindergarten, elementary school, etc., you can of course book a guided tour of the farm by appointment. Here, the farm is shown to the group in detail, including calf rearing and milking parlor. You will learn how modern dairy farming works and the Bühner family will answer any questions that may arise. Late afternoon is best for the tours, as this allows the groups to also see the milking.
The Bühner family makes a point of showing that intensive dairy farming also stands for a lot of animal welfare and that high performance can only come from an extremely healthy cow.
The guided tour is completely free of charge; coffee, barbecue, tables/benches and covered stay can be used by arrangement and for a fee. For the children there are delicious cocoa drink packs and a little something to play with for free.
Children's birthday parties are also possible; catering is provided for an appropriate fee. Games, such as scavenger hunts, can also be requested. The farm store is open Tuesdays through Fridays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and on weekends 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. Here you can find:

Opposite the farm is a hiking parking lot, from which you can walk wonderfully from to the verse without the noise of the main road in the neck to have. You can also easily reach the country inn Vedder or Stottmert. Also a Heid nature reserve is not far away.
