The Drüggelte Chapel was built in the 12th century - presumably by Crusaders - on the model of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. However, it is believed that the place was a pagan place of worship long before that time. Today the chapel is the destination of many culturally interested visitors. The round building with its columns, capitals as well as three Romanesque vaults tells (building) history and arouses emotions.
Further information is available in the archives of the municipality of Möhnesee.
Guided tours can be booked for interested groups. Let a tour guide inform you about the history, secrets and riddles of this legendary round building from the 12th century.
The chapel is freely accessible, but occasionally occupied by concerts, weddings or masses. Information about the occupancy of the chapel can be obtained from the parish office of the Pastoralverbund Möhnesee.
