Café Blaubeere is the last preserved part of the former boiling hut. This filled the entire area of today's Haus Rosenau. The size of the boiling hut could include up to nine boiling pans. A characteristic feature of this boiling hut was the bell tower, which announced the change of shift and was affectionately christened "the Läutnant" by the people of Sassendorf.
The historical Sassendorf seal is of course represented in this prominent place. It hangs in the door of today's Café Blaubeere, which now treats its guests to home-made delicacies.
