Here at Karl-Volke-Platz stands one of the many works of art dealing with the salt history of the place. Designed by Bonifatius Stirnberg, the fountain takes up elements such as the boiling servant, the pea maltster, the Gradierwerk and the salt basket in which the salt boiled in the boiling pans was stored and transported.
