The black bear tour is part of Willingen's MTB routes for children. These are so well networked and signposted that parents and children can decide during the tour which route they want to take and how long the route should be.Important: The requirement profiles are only guidelines - these can of course vary from child to child. Children should not ride alone. Mountain bikes are required in any case. Riding the routes is at your own risk. In some places, hikers or car traffic may be on the same paths.
On the first four kilometers there are already 131 meters of altitude to overcome, which is very difficult for children. The reward is a flowing single trail to above Schwalefeld, where the junction of the black bear trail and the red trail is located near the lift route. The black bear goes back to Willingen via the Orenberg ski jump. When it's training time, you can see the children from Willingen training on the summer ski jump. And who knows, maybe the mountain bike kids will also enjoy ski jumping training. The tour is black because there is a somewhat trickier descent after the Orenbergschanze, but with the right speed this can also be managed.
We recommend a helmet, functional, weather-appropriate cycling clothing, backpack food, sufficient fluids (water, tea), air pump, repair kit and multi-tool.
