Willingen Summer Toboggan Run

If you love feeling the wind in your hair or zooming down a meadow on a sled in winter, you can enjoy that same sense of freedom and speed at the Willingen summer toboggan run any time of year. The tow lift takes you high up the hill. After 250 meters, the sled automatically disengages, and with a wonderful view of the Willingen mountains, the 700-meter descent begins.
Eleven thrilling turns, three jumps, and several long straights guarantee variety and fun—even in wet conditions. Each guest decides for themselves whether to enjoy a leisurely toboggan ride or feel the wind in their face at speeds of up to 40 km/h. Those who want to share the fun can toboggan in pairs. Children eight years and older are allowed to take the controls on their own.
Once you reach the finish line, the automatic camera system with speed measurement captures a great souvenir photo.

Recently, the 1,100-meter-long mountain cart track has also opened for thrilling downhill rides. After taking the“” 6-person chairlift atRitzhagen—which hikers are also welcome to use—you’ll zoom down the ski slope on these three-wheeled recreational carts—great fun for all ages. Children aged ten or older, or those at least 1.35 meters tall, may ride alone, or an adult can simply take their child along on their own cart.

The playground, featuring a six-panel trampoline, a slide house, a nest swing, climbing and balancing structures, and a mini excavator, is sure to make children’s hearts race.
Special attractions at this small recreational area nestled in nature include the 60-meter-long wooden marble run, which gets young and old alike moving, as well as the summer tubing track. Children ages three and up can safely enjoy this giant tire slide.
When hunger strikes amid all the fun and fresh mountain air, the modern Alpine ski and toboggan hut“Einkehrschwung”right next door is the perfect spot for a cozy break.
When winter arrives in the Upland, the Rummel family welcomes skiers and tobogganers at the 6-person chairlift, the Ritzhagen conveyor belt, and the neighboring Sonnenlift. Weather permitting, the summer toboggan run may operate alongside the ski season. Even if there’s no snow, tobogganing goes on anyway.
