Börde Therme Bad Sassendorf, Gartenstraße 26 (parking lot opposite)
The approx. 5.5 km long A4 hiking trail starts at the BördeTherme. From there, the trail leads past the sports center towards Gabrechten and on towards Weslarn. At the first opportunity, the trail turns right off the main path into the Rosenau nature reserve.
An idyllic, overgrown path runs along the Rosenau. Information boards along the way describe life by the river and in the forest. If you look and listen carefully, you are sure to discover many of the plants and animals featured.
You return to Bad Sassendorf along the K5 for a short distance to the "Am Gemkerhof" forest area and continue into the spa gardens, past the pond and Café Brunnenhaus to the BördeTherme thermal baths.
This is a wonderful place to relax after the hike. Next door, the Gradierwerk invites you to take a deep breath. Or you can end the day in one of the small cafés and restaurants in the spa gardens and town.
Trail conditions: asphalted farm tracks, paved paths in the spa park, approx. 1 km natural path;
Refreshment stops: at the start/end of the tour
