Memorial cross for miners who lost their lives (Mining Trail 8)
59909 Bestwig
The cross comes from the Ramsbeck cemetery, which was built in 1854, and was re-erected on the Bastenberg mining trail after restoration. The cross was erected on September 6, 2010, and was solemnly consecrated by a Catholic and a Protestant priest on September 12, 2010.
As the first station on the mining trail, the cross is intended to emphasize its special significance and the appreciation of the Sauerland Visitors' Mine Bestwig-Ramsbeck e. V. association.
