Hiking experiences with a view of the water
The Breitenbach dam is a popular excursion destination for recreational sports enthusiasts and walkers. The 5.3 km long asphalted A 1 leads around the second largest drinking water reservoir in the Siegen-Wittgenstein district and is particularly suitable for families. There are five information boards along this circular route, which provide information about the regional history, the drinking water supply and the dam. A special fitness experience also starts at the dam wall - the calorie trail. With the exception of two places that lead over the described circular route, the 6.7 km long trail runs through the forest and is a special hiking highlight with its ten sports adventure stations.
