Haus Honning und Weichsscher Hof
Alter Markt 29
59821 Arnsberg
Both buildings were built after the great town fire in 1600 on the site of the former Burgmannshöfe.
Honningscher Hof and Hinterhaus. The house was the seat of the land registrar of the Duchy of Westphalia. It is said to have been the repository of the Epiphany shrine at the beginning of the 19th century.
Weichsscher Hof. Built as the town house of the Oberjägermeister von Weichs after the town fire of 1600. Ground floor in solid construction, upper floor in half-timbering with hipped roof. It was owned by the von Weichs family until the 20th century and served as a residential building. It was later sold and served as a music academy for a time. Now privately owned, it is once again a residential building.
The house is privately owned and can only be viewed from the outside.
The Altstadt of Arnsberg is easy to reach by public transport. Buses run at regular intervals from Arnsberg/Westphalia railroad station to Neumarkt. There is also a paid underground parking garage for guests who wish to visit the Altstadt by car.
