The permanent exhibition shows the history of the former Cistercian monastery in Bredelar and the Theodorshütte ironworks, which was housed there after secularization, as well as its use up to the present day. The history of the Post, schools, churches and fire department is also presented, as well as that of the upper Ruhrtal and Rhenetal railroad.
