The MARION & SOBO BAND have a truckload of new songs with them! The German-French-Polish band creates its own style of global music and vocal jazz and proves that handmade, acoustic music can not only be delicate, contemplative and colorful, but also highly energetic and powerful, even without drums. The multilingual French singer Marion Lenfant-Preus and the Polish guitarist Alexander "Sobo" Sobocinski have been pursuing the idea of creating music without pigeonholes and for a cross-generational and cross-cultural audience for over 13 years. And they do this with a lot of charm, ease and joy of playing! The well-traveled musicians and their band now present their third studio album: "Gomera", dedicated to the scenically and culturally diverse Canary Island, where the two have spent many winters and collected many song ideas. MARION & SOBO BAND sounds stylistically colorful with gypsy jazz and also rumba, Balkan and chanson sounds, acrobatic solos and scat singing, own compositions and also new interpretations of old classics "transformed into the here and now" (Jazzpodium), partly also with Marion's own lyrics. "Marion & Sobo Band really are a group of passionate musicians who should be appreciated live, because you can be sure that the spark will be ignited in a flash" (SWR2). Line-up: Marion Lenfant-Preus (vocals), Alexander Sobocinski (guitar), Stefan Berger (double bass), Frank Brempel (violin), Jonas Vogelsang (guitar)
