At the Advent reading with Carsten Hennen on "Der Buchspazierer", you will experience how bookseller Carl Kollhoff finds new courage and hope after losing his job thanks to the power of books and an encounter with a nine-year-old girl.
These are special customers to whom bookseller Carl Christian Kollhoff brings their ordered books home in the evening after closing time.
Because these people are almost like friends to him, and he is their most important connection to the world. When Kollhoff unexpectedly loses his job, it takes the power of books and a nine-year-old girl for them all, including Kollhoff himself, to find the courage to approach each other ...

"Der Buchspazierer" was on the SPIEGEL bestseller list for over two years, was translated into almost 40 languages and was successfully filmed for the cinema in 2024 with Christoph Maria Herbst.

Carsten Hennen will also be reading from "Sonnenaufgang Nr. 5" that evening. 19-year-old Jonas has problems with life and memory. He gives up his studies and in order to avoid his painful past, he helps other people record their life stories as their ghostwriter. In the process, he meets the eccentric film diva Stella, who wants to portray her life as fulfilled. Together they learn that you have to live every day as if it were your last. To live a life that is unforgettable.

Carsten Hennen lives with his family, cats, bees and chickens in the Rhineland. In addition to his work as an author, he is also a wine journalist and has published numerous successful crime novels and romantic comedies.
