Based on the hilarious local novel by Frank Goosen:
Friday from Munich to the Ruhrgebiet - visit grandma, meet the estate agent to organize the sale of the old colliery house, see a few old acquaintances and then off he goes. Stefan's plan is set.
But suddenly he is back in the midst of the memories and surrounded by all those who have always shaped his life: Grandma Luise, the boys, who immediately capture him again, Toto, Diggo, Karin and above all Charlie - his sandbox love.
With every encounter, every event and every new craziness, the suspicion grows that Stefan should perhaps reconsider some of his decisions in life.
With "Sommerfest", Frank Goosen has created a hilarious Heimat novel full of lovable characters that we all know and who, in their normality, spark a longing for the core of our lives.
Following the film adaptation by Sönke Wortmann, "Sommerfest" will now also take the audience on a nostalgic journey back to their own youth as a stage play and bring back memories.
There will be a free introduction to the play with Linda Keil and Lasse Schulte at 7.15 pm in the auditorium.
