Play by Albert Ostmaier: A gripping power struggle between Leni Riefenstahl and Joseph Goebbels unfolds in the Reich Ministry of Propaganda - a multi-layered production about art, opportunism and the struggle for humanity in times of dictatorship.

The play begins in 1935 at the Reich Ministry of Propaganda.
Illustrated with historical film clips and live videos, an explosive power struggle develops between the ambitious film director Leni Riefenstahl and Joseph Goebbels, Reich Minister for Popular Enlightenment and Propaganda. Together they want to watch the sound film "Das Stahltier", which he has banned and which was shot by the avant-garde cameraman and director Willy Zielke.
Leni Riefenstahl, addicted to publicity, senses an opportunity to decisively advance her film career at Zielke's expense.
The end of the play belongs to Willy Zielke: "I am Willy Zielke. I belong only to myself. I have survived and I am alive." An exciting production on the question of art, freedom and humanity in a dictatorship.

There will be a free introduction to the play by Linda Keil and Lasse Schulte. Begins at 7.15 pm in the auditorium.
