At the spinning afternoons in Café Alt-Willingen, some women show how wool was spun into thread in the past. Dressed in traditional garments, they will once again be an eye-catcher for the guests.
The spinning wheel is in the foreground. The wheel is set in motion with a pedal. This technique always attracts the curious. The women are happy to explain their hobby over coffee and cake. As a non-local, you have to listen carefully to understand the Willingen plate. Other women crochet or knit with home-spun yarn.
You are cordially invited to listen to the informative talks and then examine the goods produced on site.
