The Philadelphia Dance Company (Philadanco for short) has been successfully touring the world for more than half a century. Founded in 1970 as one of the first American all-black dance companies, Philadanco set dance and social standards. The dance company's declared aim is to produce dance performances at the highest level and to promote established and up-and-coming dancers and choreographers. To this day, Philadanco! stands for diversity, integration and overcoming cultural barriers. Their captivating dynamism and deep expressiveness make each of their pieces a unique experience. An evening full of exuberant joie de vivre and imaginative choreography with wit and charm.
