Our earth hides many a secret. At "Luise heats up", visitors get to the bottom of the underground world's mineral treasures. Miners once toiled underground to bring valuable ores to light - but they discovered surprisingly more: mysterious creatures slumbering deep in the earth come to life and heat things up at the Luisenhütte.
With elfish sounds, the band "Faelend" casts a mystical spell over the old blast furnace and lures fabulous creatures out of hiding. The fire dragon "Fangdorn" also ventures out of his cave and causes a lot of excitement with his fiery appearance.
Experts from the "Speläo-Gruppe Sauerland" provide an exciting insight into the world of cave exploration and report on adventurous expeditions into the narrowest rock caves in our region.
Creative activities and artistic salt sculptures invite visitors to get to grips with the hidden treasures of the earth and discover the fascinating forms of nature in a creative way
To top it all off, a fire show - a subterranean world, lovingly staged, excitingly presented.
How the valuable mineral resources were processed is vividly illustrated during the expert guided tours of the Luisenhütte. Of course, the museum is open throughout the event and can also be explored individually.
"Luise heizt ein" is part of the festival network "FERROMONE - Industry and Culture in South Südwestfalen" and is supported by the Regional Culture Program of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.

Acrobatic dwarves perform one trick after another - so keep your eyes peeled, because you never know where the next somersault will come from. You're not even safe on the water of the hut pond!
For all those who like it even more adventurous, a journey back in time to prehistory awaits: dinosaur bones on display tell of worlds long past and bring prehistoric times to the Luisenhütte.

The team from noa-Entertainment will take care of your physical well-being.
Organizer: Märkischer Kreis, Fachdienst Kultur und Tourismus
