After the family musical "The Little Witch" last season, the School of Music in the district of Warendorf is this year's guest with a concert in which the operetta plays the leading role. For a long time it led a shadowy existence, but now the operetta with its wonderful melodies is experiencing a renaissance. Choirmaster Dr. Wolfgang König dared to experiment and arrange choral pieces for the young people performing from the solo arias/songs and duets. The result was melodies in a new, very special, unmistakable light. Experiencing the immortal operetta pieces in a new guise should be just as much fun for the audience as for the ensemble on stage.
