"Wow, I've never seen the Sauerland so beautiful!" This is how many people react to the landscape photos taken by Oberkirchen photographer Klaus-Peter Kappe. His "secret recipe" is very simple and not so secret: he always uses the best, most atmospheric light that nature is willing to give. This is usually found around sunrise and sunset. In many cases, the sun is even below the horizon at the optimum moment: at dawn and dusk.
You can go hiking with the photographer during these phases. These hikes are explicitly not just for photographers. Above all, they are for people who simply want to sharpen their senses for nature and light and, above all, for the interplay of the two in the creation of moods. You will learn how water in its various forms gives shape and color to light: as clouds, fog, rain, dew, hoarfrost, snow or haze. You will experience how atmospheric light emerges at dusk, whatever the weather.
Each tour has its own theme. The exact hiking route is only determined at very short notice before the date, depending on the weather. Klaus-Peter Kappe always chooses the hiking route to suit the weather. It will be a maximum of 7 km. In order to be able to stop again and again to enjoy the light, 2.5 to 3 hours are planned.
