You can see them sitting in the ticket booth and hear their snappy remarks over the microphone. You are happy to receive help from the employees getting on and off the carousel and enjoy freshly roasted almonds or fragrant popcorn. But what else do the showmen and their employees actually have to do? What is their day-to-day work like and what has to be done that is not visible to fairground visitors? Are all fairground companies pure family businesses?
You will get answers to questions like these during the popular fairground tours, which have been offered in close consultation with the local showmen on three days of the fall week for several years now. Children aged 8 and over are invited to take a curious look behind the scenes. You will be taken on an exciting journey through the life and work of the showmen's families.
