"We teach interested people more about physics in one performance than they could ever forget in their school days," says graduate physicist Marcus Weber, head and founder of Physikanten und Co. with a twinkle in his eye. The concept is award-winning: the Physikanten have been awarded the German Physical Society (DPG) medal, which has already gone to Ranga Yogeshwar, among others.
The Physikanten and co. perform at schools and universities, in variety shows, at corporate events, at conferences, trade fairs and at international science festivals - most recently at the "All Russia Science Festival" in front of 3,000 spectators in Moscow and at the "Abu Dhabi Science Festival" with 24 shows on the beach, where they have already thrilled around 1 million spectators with their science shows.
The team builds impressive experiments for television, including for "Galileo", "Frag doch mal die Maus" and "Wer weiß denn sowas XXL". The team of 20 physicists, comedians, musicians, actors and event technicians form an explosive mix: sensational and extremely entertaining.
