The Quinton ensemble originated in the German National Youth
Orchestra, where the musicians met and played together for several
years under renowned conductors.
The ensemble members share a great passion
for chamber music, which led to the idea of forming a
wind quintet in 2020. Since then, the ensemble
has won many prizes. The quintet has been sponsored by the Mozart-
Gesellschaft Dortmund since 2021 and by Villa Musica
Rheinland-Pfalz since 2023. In the same year, it was awarded a scholarship at the German
Music Competition.
The young wind quintet is a regular guest at festivals.
The musicians perform together with artists such as Matthias
Kirschnereit and take part in radio productions. The
ensemble members play in renowned orchestras throughout
Germany.
The concert is sponsored by the German
Music Competition of the German Music Council and GVL
