Untreated cocoa is known as the drink of the gods. It is a traditional component of many Central and South American cultures. Whether as a stimulant for Aztec soldiers, as a drink to accompany fasting, as herbal medicine or purely for enjoyment: cocoa contains a wealth of healthy ingredients that can have an effect on both the body and the mind and emotion. Cocoa is rich in antioxidants and magnesium, increases blood flow to the brain and its flavonoids can sharpen perception, concentration, alertness and focus.
The cocoa is traditionally prepared with water and spices so that it can unfold its full power and is only sweetened with natural ingredients such as honey or maple syrup if desired. In addition to immersing yourself in the world of cocoa, the focus is on the mythology, background and effects of cocoa.
